Our "The American Dream 5K Walk" is a direct line to the diverse community in our region.  Friends and neighbors
from all walks of life join together in celebrating the progress we have made in revitalizing Pacoima. 
Come join us and be front and center in our wide-spread Walk marketing campaign as we broadcast the news that

STEP ONE: REGISTER TODAY!       
You can register online at www.HumanityCA.org or by calling (818) 884-8808.  If you are walking with a team, choose your team name when you register online. Your American Dream Walk sponsor form and other information will be sent to you online immediately. Questions can be directed to annb@humanityca.org

STEP TWO: GET SPONSORS!
Ask your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc to sponsor you. The suggested minimum pledge is $20; many of your sponsors will want to donate $50, $100 or more to support your efforts! And it would be great for you to sponsor yourself, as well!

STEP THREE: WALK ON OCTOBER 10, 2009
The 5K Walkthon begins at  LOWES  (13500 Paxton Street, Pacoima, CA 91331)  We will walk/run to The Habitat Pacoima Site, (11257 Borden Ave. , CA 91331) where we will have a groundbreaking ceremony for each one of our 24 new homes - in 2 minutes!  We will then return to Lowes, finishing the 5K.  Brunch, Music, Awards all follow.

Earn Fundraising Rewards!
• Raise $50 or more:Official Habitat for Humanity American Dream Walk T-Shirt
• Raise $300 or more:Official Habitat for Humanity American Dream Cap
• Prizes and Trophies awarded to Top 3 Fundraising Teams and Top 3 Fundraising Individuals.
• The Team that raises the most money will be given a  party at the iconic “Bob’s Big Boy” in Burbank, CA (up to 50 team members will each get a Bob’s Combo meal) courtesy of Bob’s.

Event Description : 5K Walk from Pacoima Plaza to Habitat for Humanity Building Site where we will have a groundbreaking ceremony for each one of our 24 new homes - in 4 minutes! We will then return to Lowes, finishing the 5K.  Brunch, Music, Awards all follow.

-Top 3 Individual Fundraisers receive prize and trophy.

 T-Shirts/Hats

All participants walking in The American Dream Walk who raise a minimum $50 will receive t-shirts at registration the morning of the Walk. All participants who raise more than $300 will receive a cap, too!

Beneficiaries
100% of the net proceeds will go toward Habitat for Humanity, San Fernando/ Santa Clarita Valley.
